Kate was invited to participate in Crunch 09 an arts festival event organised by The Institute of Art and Ideas, held at the globe in Hay on Wye on the weekend of 13-15th November 2009.
The art festival was dedicated to talks and debates by leading curators, performers, critics and artists. Kate was invited to make a temporary earthwork drawing live during the event in the grounds of the 18th century methodist chapel where the globe is sited. The drawing was made under the garden's oak tree and consisted of found fallen oak knopper galls. The drawing was made on Sunday 15th and measured c. 15 x 20ft.
