This was an event organised by the Bulmer Foundation held at Breinton Orchard in Herefordshire in July. It followed a series of dance workshops held in the orchard and culminated in the final day when a series of creative activities were held in the orchard alongside the dance performances. 170 visitors attended, including school children and groups with learning difficulties. In keeping with the ‘lovely bugs’ theme for the workshops, a large 18ft diameter ladybird was drawn out in a clearing on the orchard floor using black and white sheeps fleece. The body and legs of the ladybird were filled in by the visiting groups using twigs and branches from the orchard’s tree cuttings and found fallen baby cider apples from under the trees.
