Molehill Mud Spiral, Breacon Beacons National Park, Herefordshire Spring 2016
This sketch was made on a Spring day on a walk up to Hatterall Hill. The field was peppered with freshly dug molehills exposing mounds of finely tilled earth. The fresh earth from the molehills was moulded in the hand to form these individual mud balls before being placed back on the ground near the molehills they originated from.
