Quartz Drawing Newport Sands beach, Pembrokeshire Spring 2015
This drawing was made on Newport Sands beach on a beautiful Spring day in March during low tide. The quartz pieces were found along the beach in rock pools and coves with various sizes and colours and when collected and laid formed a circle with an inner circle of flat thin oval slates. The quartz had beautiful oranges and yellows running through them giving them a golden quality. The drawing measured 3ft diameter and lasted a few hours before the sea washed it away.
