Lime-washed Red Sandstone Drawing, Monnow Valley Arts Centre, Walterstone, Herefordshire, Autumn 2009
Funded by Arts Council England and part of Herefordshire Arts Week, the 150ft x 110ft drawing was made using red sandstone found in the grounds at Monnow Valley Arts Centre. The drawing emerged over the 9 day event and was made in response to the Land and the trees around it.
The lime was sourced from local eco-building supplier Ty Mawr (Brecon) and was used to temporarily reveal the drawing until the rain washed it away.
